CouplesList!

Hi, we're from Freeport, IL which is about 40 minutes west of Rockford. We're willing to commute to Rockford for good friends though. We've lived here for about a year and a half and haven't met anyone we really click with. Partially because we're parents. We have a son who will be 2 next week. We also have a dog. We're originally from around Ann Arbor, Michigan and we have great friends who live in that area but it's not the same as having someone nearby.

I am 28 and a stay-at-home mom but I also do art and craft projects and occasionally sell them at conventions around the mid-west. I do occasional freelance work as well though I haven't done anything like that since my son was born. I also love to read sci-fi/fantasy and crochet. My husband and I both love video games (right now I'm playing Skyrim and he's playing Batman: Arkham City). He is 29 and teaches physics at the community college here. Neither one of us are big sports fans. We enjoy movies and music. I think those are a given for just about anyone though. To find out our specific tastes you'll just have to get to know us.

We tend to get along with people who are into science, math, art, music, video games and anime. We like playing pinochle and it would be great to find another couple who likes/wants to play so that we can play teams. We are also learning how to play Go so if anyone's interested in that, that would be awesome. Play-dates for our son would be great too.
